The Scranton Alumni Association oversees the Scranton Community Center, they wrote their second successful grant to Grow Greene County for continued improvements to the center. This year they were awarded $45,355.00 to go toward a generator and electrical upgrades. Once the generator is in place they will be able to be an emergency center for the area.
