Grow Greene County approved an application for funding from the City of Jefferson on behalf of PAWS in 2019. A commitment of $67,000 for three years was announced at the 2019 Awards Night for a total of $201,000 toward the project. In 2022 the first funds were awarded to the City of Jefferson for the project as the ground was broken in 2021 and completed in 2022.
